Jordanian National Forum for Women

The JNFW managed to become a resource for the women's movement in Jordan, and succeeded in establishing a wide base that includes women in rural areas and deserts. JNFW achieved important accomplishments that reflected on the life of Jordanian women in many fields. Listed below are some of these achievements.

 

United Nations Development Fund for Women

 

The UN Women (UNW), grounded in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, the human rights, peace and security. 

Yemen's Women Union

 

 

The overall goal of (YWU) is the promotion of women’s rights and empowerment of women.

The YWU is uniquely placed to reach out to women in Yemen, including those living in rural and more remote areas.

Jesuits and Brothers Association for Development

 

The (JBA) is working in Mynia to empower the poor and underprivileged in rural and urban areas.

One of the Association's objectives is developing women and improving their skills and potential to enable them to participate effectively in societal development.

The attitudes of all stakeholders towards the action:

 

CARE and Partners have consulted with a range of national stakeholders in their respective countries in order to gauge the interest and reaction to the proposed action and to develop the proposal in the most appropriate way for each country context. The proposal is a result of an extensive consultative process between CARE, Partners and national stakeholders and this process will allow the proposed action to gain acceptance with advocates, social movements, CSOs and national women’s bodies relatively smoothly.
